How the heck do you fold & store a Q39 softbox!?!?

Here's a stupid question...

So I got a Photoflex Q39 Large (36x48) used, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to roll it up so the velcro holds it together. There are 2 sets of velcro pieces (4 bits) on the outside of the box that I assume are for folding and storage. I tried to wrap it like an umbrella, but that got me nowhere fast. Anyone know how to fold/roll these up?

Nothing on youtube that I could find. Trying to be neat and orderly for the wife.

The designation 'Q39' is rather confusing by Photoflex! Both 'Lightdome' and 'Multidome' are versions of Q39, and both models come in 36"x48" size. Can you specify which one you have acquired?

It's the Photoflex Litedome Platinum. It seems like it should be a no-brainer to fold it up, but...

Photoflex has modified/improved the designs since I purchased my Litedomes and Multidomes. I downloaded their (updated) instructions from the web

The velcro strips are not for 'storage', they are for assembly of the softbox. The QRC tabs (at the front panel end) allow you to insert rods into the speedring end without tension exerted from the front panel end of the rod, for ease of insertion/breakdown. The velcro at the speedring end of the softbox are to close that end around the speedring. The velcro at either side serve no purpose when you store the softbox.

I merely fold the softbox material in the same direction as the rods run within it (not bothering to remove the rods) with the rods all collected into a bundle, and then roll up the excess material about the rods, somewhat analogous to tying up umbrella fabrid about the ribs and shaft, before putting it into the cloth tube case. The same technique works for either the old or the current design.

Mine has additional velcro, in the middle of the outside of the panels (black side). The velcro you mention for the rods is not what I was referring to. After I finish my coffee, I'll throw up a picture of the tabs I'm talking about.

I have a hunch about what such tabs might be used for. If you can photograph the softbox in the assembled form, showing the position of the velcro in the centers so that can see where they are relative to the ribs, that would help about my hunch.

The other 2 sides have them as well, in the same relative position. Oh, and they're stitched in, like it came from the manufacturer.

Thanks for the photos. I thought they would be tabs, not merely something on the surface of the softbox material, which might be used to join together multiple softboxes to made an extra large light source. I guess what you show could be for that, with some accessory device. Are they the 'loops' or the 'hooks'...I'd guess the loops.

They alternate - hook/loop/hook/loop as you go around the box. I think for grins and giggles I'll give them a call tomorrow (if I remember). Thanks Wilt!

Then if you align the hook with one softbox with the loop of the second softbox, they can attach to each other to make a bigger softbox! It might be a not-documented feature!
