Hey,

Went for a walk a round town the other day and had my camera in my bag, got a few photos too :)

For those that don't know:

#1: Millenium Bridge, Baltic Centre (art gallery)
#2: Tyne Bridge (same design as Sydney harbour bridge I think)
#3: Sage, Gateshead (new music centre)
#4: Old bridge (anyone know the name?)

Hope you like.

edits welcome: not sure if #1 is sharp enough or if #2/#3 are oversharpened, i'll let you all decide!

Very nicely done. The clouds in the last picture make it appear almost unreal.

Adam, it's the High Level Bridge or an even older name The Penny Toll Bridge! Nice sky but think I'd prefer the colour version.

Sorry if this sounds harsh, it's not meant to be but the other shots are rather "standard" shots. A different angle, lower perspective, different formats might have helped give the subjects more punch.

Just my opinion

Thanks for all your comments.. sadly the 'conversions' were just conversions to greyscale with other minor adjustments, contrast etc. I agree the shots are not anything special, as for being non 'standard' I only feel that #4 was. I was just walking around with a friend at the time and was not concentrating on taking pictures, will have plenty of time to go back and do just that! I'll post a colour version of #4 when I am back on my computer that's at university.

Balliolman, Newcastle/Gateshead (mainly the Quayside) has had a lot of re-development recently- the Sage, Baltic art centre and millenium bridge are all relatively new.

Yeah Tim, I'm just happy to have the chance to take alot more pictures and learn alot more now i've got the 350D... and large CF cards. Having fun with it :)

edit: How dark do these look? They look really really dark here but fine at uni?

Some great shots Adam! You're getting quite good with the 350D now. :)
