this is my friend Gopala krishnan. this is shot using shoot through umbrella .
This is my 3rd try using flash and umbrella. C&C are welcome as i do not know
much about lighting or portrait photography.

it was taken at sunset background was sufficiently bright but i tried to underexpose the
background because i thought it would be distraction if not to underexpose it .

It seems as if you caught him during his movement. A guy with a cell phone and a cigarette is usually not a good photo, not unless it's staged so good that those become part of the story.

Avoid gimmicks and just do portraits first. Watch your backgrounds.
