I use my flash in the normal position on the hot shoe, i added a angled extender that goes into a 6x7 softbox on the end, it sits just in front of the lens at a bit of a downward angle. The big downside to this set up (besides the fact it's pretty cumbersome) is than it does limit some shots in tighter spaces, but so far has proved to be decent for a $17 set up :lol:

As far as results...read read read then practice practice practice. I remember when i first started visiting this section and thinking "wow, how they do that"? and i actually still say that quite often to this day.

I'll never forget my first macro attempt, this was in May of this year...
