Camera does not resume power from shutter switch

Anyone else have this problem?

I'm not sure if it's from the recent update to the new firmware for the 5d3 where the message pops up asking if you want to continue using the LP-E6 battery.

While normal operations doesn't seem to suffer after recyling the power switch, the camera doesn't resume from hitting the shutter button as it used to.

I've tried this with my STK and Wasabi batteries. This resume method works with the OEM batteries.

some non-Canon batteries are not liking the new firmware...

You have the cart before the horse. The new firmware doesn't like non-Canon batteries. Perhaps consider rolling back the firmware unless something in there is particulary desirable.

Did you buy your camera for those batteries, or did you buy those batteries for this camera?
