Hope you enjoy them and I would love suggestions of things I could have done differently to bring more color or better water

that third is incredible, I love the angle, the water crashing in the way you made is seem like the pier goes on forever, great shots all of them.

Thank you for the compliment saravrose! That is my favorite too! Actually I have a bunch of that same perspective and am going to try a hdr of it later today, but the exposures are all pretty similar, so probably won't come out very good, plus I don't know what I am doing:)

Nice shots.

My parents had a time share in San Clemente and we used to spend every summer there. I know this pier well.

I also tried the last shot at a pier in Garden City, SC but I don't think it was long enough for this effect. I will post it later to show you my take, but i think yours turned out great.

Thanks In2Photos! What did you think of San Clemente? Kind of a funny little town, but I really love it! I would love to see your photo! Please do post it. Here is the HDR of the tunnel I was talking about saravrose, not sure if I like it better than the other shot or not

San Clemente is a funny little town. When we used to go there it was preety quiet, not much to do other than go to the beach. The last time I was there was about 6 years ago and they had just got their first movie theater.

Here is the shot I took. I was there to take pictures of the sunrise and thought about these as i was leaving so it was fairly bright already. I think that is why i didn't get the shot I was after. Here are some other shots I took.

I like the photos a lot In2Photos! I have only been to that theatre once, but it is so small:). I do love the town though, such extremes in people and so many great beaches. I am fine living 10 miles away from it, but enjoy going there quite often!

Adam, I am not really sure what it means or exaclty what it does, but in extreme lighting situation if you take a bunch of shots at different exposures you can merge them all together using Merge HDR in photoshop and it will bring in the best exposed parts of each picture it seems. very fun to play with!
