DOF is too shallow here for my tastes. The entire head should be in focus. It does look like you hit the eyes which is the next best thing.

Agree with Dave, there are times when a full nose is funny, and then there is the times when you want all the dogs face clear.
Love Bostons, and watch what light you put her in, you have to be careful of the whites getting too harsh. Treats and patience will get you a good model;) If she is good on a chair, you could place her more at your level, or you get down to hers.
I shoot my dogs at 5.6 at ISO 400 most of the time, seems to work. PLay with your settings and see what works for you.

I agree with the above the main focus is the eye area if thats what u want then fine but overall would of been better to grab the whole of the side of the dogs face have a look through my dog photography and ur see what I mean :D
