dark inside venue,any tips?

i tried to get a few shots of a local up and comming young band and it was quite dark and difficult lighting,any sugestions for this type of event,lens,setting,ang​les etc,thanx

did use the canon or nikon , which lens,what were your settings....did you set your white balance

you could have frame these a little better....unless you have fast glass venues like this are tough to shoot...if do events like this get lightroom 5..shoot in raw and edit in raw....then convert them.


So if God made Man & Woman....whats his excuse for Nikon...

Seems like you did pretty well without flash.
I think the composition of #2 should be a little lower to show more of the players.

Composition of # 2 is great.

I think these capture the moment pretty well. In these settings I would recommend to always try and meet your shutter speed if hand-held by upping your ISO. You might get more grain but for the subject, grain is irrelevant. #1 is great and #3 is well shot, just a bit of motion-blur there.

thanx for the tips,i try and support the local talent and i post some of the pics on thier site,i just got a 70-200 f4 so i hope to take it the next event,
