When i bought my sigma, i tested it very very carefully as there are so many complains with the af. I am wandering if canon lenses also have these variations (bad copies)? which canon lenses? does the L (luxury) lenses suffer this bad variation too?

All things which are produced have a chance there could be flaws in the design. Whether put together by hand or machines, not all the parts will line up to operate perfectly every time. Whether it's a Canon L lens or a 75-300 lens, there is an off chance you will get a bad copy. Kind of like buying a new car and finding out it's a lemon. That is why things like returns and exchanges, and PR departments were created.

Not all countries have return or exchange policy, my country is one of them. Still have the warranty, but they won't change with a new lens unless there's a major problem.

So there are problems with your lens? Why did you buy it if there were "so many complaints with the af"? Obviously it has not been an isolated incident here and there, but more of a major problem. I don't understand why you made the purchase if the return policy isn't good. And usually the return or exchange policy is based on the company, not the country. However in the US most companies have good return and exchange policies to prevent slander of the companies name and/or financial issues (suing and other things). Where did you buy the lens from?
