Here is a list of what we can expect:

1) SR5: Three E-Mount FF cameras are planed to be launched within the next five months! And let’s hope Sony doesn’t change this plan

IMAGE: http://www.sonyalpharumors.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif
2) SR5: Two are NEX-FF cameras and one is a DSLR shaped (ILCE) E-mount Full Frame camera.
3) SR5: The first camera(s) will be announced soon and be in Stock before Christmas (Sources didnt’ tell me if it’s one camera only or two that will be announced now).
4) SR5: There is a cheaper and a more expensive NEX-FF to come (Sources didn’t tell if both will come at the same time or not).
5) SR5: There will be (a minimum) of two primes lenses (Zeiss 35mm f/2.8 and Zeiss 55mm f/1.8) and two High Quality zooms along the first camera announcement. These lenses are FE (“F”ull frame “E”-mount) lenses. (Editor’s note: One source told me about a portrait lens too but I have to triple check this. Could be the leaked 85mm f/1.8).

Say what you want about Sony, but they are really taking the mirrorless market seriously.

Same thing can be said about Fuji.

Same thing can not be said about "Canon video company".

Sony A7R * 70-200 2.8L II * 24-70L II * Samyang 14
Recently sold: 5DIII * Sigma 35 *

Canon sure has been boring the past 5 years or so. As far as I'm concerned, the last exciting announcement from Canon was the 5D Mark II.

Sony's definitely going full steam ahead...some of this stuff might be a flop (the screen-less lens cameras), but others (FF mirrorless) may just take off in a big way, especially in a year or two, when prices will hopefully come down a bit.

Two full-frame mirrorless cameras?

I'm hoping we get the best of both worlds - one cheaper, faster, lower-resolution 24MP model for general use, and another more expensive, ultra-high-resolution model for landscape/studio work. And I hope it comes out before my Patagonia trip in December!

They have no choice but to try to hit the markets where Canon and NIkon aren't taking 95% of the sales. Canon has no incentive.

Don't forget, anyone who shoots a Nikon (apart from the D4 and a few low-end cameras) is shooting with a Sony sensor.

Haha I was just about to say that there are plenty more people shooting "Sony" through the sensors...I've really been impressed by their sensor tech the past few years! I certainly love the one in my OM-D. ;)

And I'd love one in my 5D3.

And I'd love one in my 5D3.

Just stick one in any body with a short enough flange distance to handle Canon TS-E lenses and I'd be happy!

On that note, I'd also like a TS-E 200mm and 400mm for telephoto landscapes...

Wow that would be a crazy pair of lenses; I'd love to see what a 400mm TS-E looks like. :)

Yes they do, it's an untapped market that they could get a piece of if they were a bit forward thinking. Yes, it might cannibalize a bit of their DSLR business, but it's better to cannibalize yourself than to have a competitor eat your lunch from the outside, :-D

Nobody is eating Canon's lunch. They are fighting over the scraps that are left over after Canon and Nikon finish eating.
