You know, I can't remember. It was taken with a 500mm lens on a full-frame camera with only a very slight crop so maybe 20m (70ft)? I'm not certain but I think 'he' might be a 'she'.

Collar and ear-tags. Not ideal but I made two 3-night trips to Finland this year and only saw one bear in the last hour of daylight on the last night...
