By jamming up the saturation, you made it worse. Hence the blue whites of the eyes. Joe

In playing with it in LR I couldn't get the right combination of WB and exposure to get her eyes correct as I doubt the whites are grey. A little turning of her head/body would help the pose greatly. I would suggest staying away from AWB and stick with a setting appropriate for the light - shade, cloudy, etc. Even more preferable is to shoot a custom WB. careanne wrote in post #16273039  The original is pretty good, you just need to practice more on your editing. Sep 06, 2013 23:46 | #13 Image editing is now turned on. I never thought to turn it on..  I agree with the white balance comments. I took this photo a couple of years back and never really did anything with it, though I have always liked it, and recently I got the bug to actually do something with it. I may actually print an edit I really like and send it to her mommy. I now shoot with custom white balance profiles or at least some of the presets if need be.
