I've been thinking of picking up a small camera for travel purposes rather than lugging my 1d3 around. Wondering what experiences others have had with the EOS M. I do a lot of HDR and would use it some for that as well as just general (non-HDR) shots.

Thoughts?

I've had the EOS-M for a few months now. It takes great photos. Personally, I don't like the touch screen much, but I'm a bit old school. It is very small and easy to carry.

Thank you. bw!

AF can still be annoyingly slow after the firmware update, can be frustrating. Bought one for the wife and the lenses and images are great though.

Pick up a used X100 for $600. Much better solution for a travel camera IMO.

Depends on what I'm shooting. For my real estate photography I just use Lightroom 3 and then bring them into Photoshop CS6 do combine the images. Works much better than people think it does.

I shoot a LOT of HDR and, what I've found is, first, you need to be sure you shoot the originals correctly (obviously) and then I do a couple of things to the images before combining them (depends on the images). If you start with good images, you'll find you'll get much better results when you combine images.

Thanks for the replies.

Going to have to investigate this one a little more before I make a decision. This might do what I'd like it to do.
