Looks like I'll be spending the month of October in north-east North Dakota*, I've not ever been in that area before. Any recommendations for scenic areas? Any areas for fall colors?

*I'm retired, and I live, full-time, in a Motorhome and do 'work-camping'. In October, I'll be a 'sample collector' during the sugar-beet harvest. I'm calling this a 'sweet job'.

Pembina Gorge near Walhalla; Turtle Mountains near Bottineau, if you have time; maybe Turtle River State Park west of Grand Forks.

I forgot, also the Sheyenne River valley south of Valley City, if you have time.

Thanks for the information - hope that I'll have some time to get to some of these places.

Ickmcdon - Again, thanks for the suggestions. We had a 'weather day', this past Tuesday (October 15th), so we didn't work the beet harvest that day. I made it to Pembina River Gorge and got some some really nice fall-color shots. I think I was about a week late in getting there for the best colors, but that couldn't be helped.

Here are some images that I got that day:
