Is there a way to put the EOS-M on center focus? All the rebels can do it, but it seems that I can't get the camera to stop choosing where to focus. When I'm ready to take a pic I can touch the screen to select focus, and that's awesome when I want it, but I'd like to have some kind of default that always does center focus.

Any suggestions? I've been through the menus several times, and have owned three rebels and a 50D, so I know the menu system fairly well. Just can't figure this one out.

Thanks

Thank you. bw!

with the Q button on the top right of the screen pick as AF method FlexiZone-Single, so, when you touch your screen you'll select your focus point.

I see what you mean Mike. It looks like the only option is to set the Custom Function 6 for the garbage can to Option 0, which will bring the AF point back to center.

I'll try that Harold. Thanks.

Marcia, what you explained is what I'm currently doing, and it works fine. I just wanted to find a way to not have to use the touch screen at all for those times when I don't want to use it, but it seems that I have to use the touch screen if I want to always be on center point focus.

It's no big deal. I was just out today shooting some raw files for HDRs at some of The Walking Dead locations and just used the touch screen. It's a great camera and I enjoy it. There are a few glitches in the design that annoy me (it's easy to accidentally turn it on, so sometimes it heats up in its pouch and I don't even know it's going). But overall it's a good device.

Thanks for the help, guys.

Thank you. bw!
