Hiking in Yellowstone can be exciting - we came across this fellow on an elk carcass -spent a couple of hours shooting and filming - we were 99 yards off the site on a well traveled and popular trail - however not many came by on our side -we had it to ourselves until we returned and reported it to the rangers - they closed the trail for a few days -

see the other trail and hikers

Those are fantastic shots. When and where was this taken? I was there in July for a few days. What a great opportunity to see something like this.

Talk about picking the right trail at the right time. How long is the Cascade Creek trail? And where is it located? Is it out in Lamar?
