I've seen RRS's $50 gadget with a bunch of bits for hex, Torq and Phillips screws, but is there a cheaper or better one out there?
Thanks.

Cheap tools can be a real PIA. I've got the RRS toolkit, so far it has worked great the couple of times I've needed to use it like installing a Lcf-10p on a nikon lens. Tiny screws that were very tight.

I'm with you on value for money and I really like the compactness of the RRS tool. But I have a series 3 Gitzo and I wonder if the hex heads will be useful for what I suspect are metric bolts. Jay

The Victorinox Swiss Army Cybertool 34 has several sizes of Phillips, Torx and hex drivers as well as flat blade drivers. Meets my needs unless on a cruise (where, since obviously a knife-wielding nut-case can hijack the ship and ram a critical governmental/organizational structure, with major loss of life and disruption to operations, a 3.2" blade must be confiscated) where I don't have it available. If you're talking about the leg joint screws on a 3-series that's a Torx T25 driver for the head and the thread on the screw part is metric 6 (M6). ~Peter
