I like the timing and emotion on 4,5 & 6 is very good - nice job - althought the exposure on the last is a bit funky.

I don't really care for the "into the sun" desaturated look of the first three. They remind me of thin, underexposed negatives, but that's just me and I recognize that some folks are into this.

Thanks for the comments! =D I don't know why I enjoy the shooting into the sun so much, but the angle and the reflection off the "lake" made it overly easy. Otherwise it would have looked fairly flat and boring.

Just looked at the whole gallery, really good job, you got the reactions and their emotions perfectly, you can just tell they are making the "Hi mom, I just got engaged!!!" call.

Hah! This was moments after it all happened; they both called their parents. Very fun time!

Thanks for all the comments guys! Sorry I don't frequent as much as I used to.

There's some post done to these - so the black levels are lifted and shadows likely slightly crushed. I generally am exposed 2/3 to 1 1/2 stops over.

I'm actually in Cincinnati now! I travel all around though.

Great pictures. I have had the opportunity to shoot two surprise engagements. I enjoyed both of them.

I like them all.
