Sigma is on a rampage. If what we see here is true, and Sigma manages to produce lenses of the same calibre we've seen with the recent 35mm f/1.4 and 18-35mm f/1.8, I'm certainly holding my breath before buying any more lenses. Fingers crossed!

A Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG ART would quickly be added to my bag, particularly if the rumor of being offered under $1,000 is true.

Not to mention a 24-70mm f/2 OS for FF users. Damn. That, and the 135mm f/2 OS are almost enough reason to go FF!

Ive been very happy with the 3 sigma lens ive owned. The 105 macro is excellent and the 120-300 is in a class of its own......the 500F4 or 600F4 will be on the horizon if prices like the 120-300 and a 24-70 F/2.0 is a must have

I did have the 85 1.4.. It was alright. The canon 85L is better. But im not so sure its 1000.00 better. I had a lot of focus inconsistency with the Sigma. Zero with the canon

Yeah, if Sigma could just nail down the AF, I would snatch so many of them up. The 35 1.4 is simply incredible but the AF, meh.

I agree, that's the only thing that concerns me with Sigma. I missed focus (Sigma 35) is worse than a slightly less sharp image on the corners (35L). I'm seriously considering some Sigma lenses that I don't have a focal range for (50mm 1.4 etc) and if it's true the 24-70 f/2 yummm.... but the AF needs to be on par.

Not gonna happen. Here's how Canon's firmware works... "if lens vendor == Sigma then misfocus 15% of the time; if lens vendor == Tamron then loop infinitely randomly"

Hah! Funny!

I wonder though if Canon would actually be that cruel :p now that I think about it, I bet they could, if they wanted to. Yikes.

Hmm... Then 3rd party lenses are actually solid AF performers then but canon cripples them.

That would be a lawsuit.

I read on Canon Rumors that next year Sigma will come out with a series of big fast telephotos in their new "art" line. Now that should be interesting!
