I've needed to upgrade from my Sigma 28-70mm f2.8-4 for the longest time now and finally did it. Although I did not spend much at all... I snagged a Tokina AT-X Pro SV 28-70 F2.8 for $55.00. I was only able to shoot around today at the house but it is leaps and bounds better then my old 28-70mm. So what do you guys think $55 for this lens?

It seemed like a decent upgrade so I figure lets do it! The lens may be a little older but compared to my last lens it was a no brainer.

I got one in the past time.
I've pait more then you, around 300 bucks. SV is have the worst perfomance out ot the Tokina 28-70(80) line. But it's absolutely great for such a steal.

Tokina 28-80 (latest) is the best of all. First 28-70/2.6-2.8 is a really nice too, but I neven seen a cope personal.

Yep, good buy. I was going to get a 28-135 IS but I found a 35-135 for $50 on ebay. I don't print more than 8x10 with it and it works for me!

I don't plan on printing bigger then 8x10 so I think this will be fine. Hope to get out this weekend with it!
