Cropped to my liking, adjusted white balance, split toning, and applied a number of selective adjustments. Beautiful scene to work on.

Welcome sharp shot! Where I'm standing to take the picture is my personal zen focal point. Across the pond from there is where I imagine myself meditating looking back at that direction. It's good for an instant 10-point systolic blood pressure drop. I think everyone should know a place like that.

ACR for adjustments to exposure, white/black points, shadows and highlights. In PSCC, I removed the branch in front of the hawk then used Topaze Simplify Color Efex Pro 4 to enhance contrast and color. Selective blurring of background. Select iris and copy to new layer and changed the blend mode to 'screen'. Crop, resize and sharpen for uploading here.

SNS-HDR 2 -> Photoshop -> denoise - lots of clobe stamping and content-aware fill to remove twigs. -> background blurring -> enhancement of the bird using Topaz filters -> crop and resize.

I took a long break from this thread but felt like working on this image. Processed in PS, tried to remove as much CA as I could...
Processed more using several gradients, getting rid of some branches, cropping, cloning and stamping and here it is :)
Couldn't be bothered removing that branch in front of the bird :)

Okay time for the judging:

Hello hawk.

kirk

Lovely edit Kirk. I really like the muted colors.

Top notch edit. Love the added contrast, crop and removal of the branch.

Very true! Care to make a donation?:-P But the point here was to minimize the CA not exacerbate it!

Great edit. Another one with muted colors.

I like the edits(except Mozes') and it was hard to choose a winner, but I think that navydoc takes 1st place with itsallart coming in 2nd.

Take it away navydoc or itsallart if navydoc is otherwise occupied.
