Alright congrats kirkt for winning this week’s challenge. I enjoyed the way you dealt with the dimness in your processing and the quaintitude suggested by your title.

Of course medd63 for the sci-fi experience gets the pick for this week’s runner up.

Here is my try at this.
Added some layers for coloring, adjusted brightness and exposure. Added some burn and dodge and also some light effects. All done in Affinity on iPad Pro.

Thought a great truck like this deserved a more suitable background(as others have done).

Didn't come out how I envisaged. Oh well.

Usual google supplied accompaniment and reflection is cut/rotate/fade/dodge.

Standard edit. all done with CS5 and Nik.
Replaced left side with clone of centre trees. (didn't like the blue and rubbish).
Contrast, clarity and adjustments to taste.
Concentrated specifically on enhancement of the detail in the 4x4, modified tint colour of paint (probably to the detriment of the overall image).

Nice GD series by the way.

Pimped out in Paintshop Pro. Applied Nik filters for tonal contrast and neutral density and frame. In LR added vignette, burned areas, added clarity to top, added gradient, lowered exposure and sharpened. Exported 1200 on long side.

These are fantastic! Nice work everyone.

I'm going with Chet's reinterpretation of the slammed GD240. The chrome really goes with the whole military aesthetic. Daverose's mad max interpretation was terrific too. Dago's inferno is misplaced - if the image were of a Land Rover Defender 110 with faulty oil cooler lines, then it would have been spot on. Thank you all for submitting!

You all crack me up.

Chet, your turn!

kirk

Congrats to Chet. He's asked me to upload a new RAW. This one might call for some compositing as well!
