The bride is cool.
We can definately take a stab at cawcawcaw's image. :)

Thanks you guys. In real life, Jen is a very cool person and I hated that I just couldn't get this shot where I wanted it.

Replacing my Canon 7D, Tokina 12-24mm, Canon 17-55mm, Sigma 30mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.4, and 150-500mm with a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000. I still have the 17-55 and the 30 available for sale.

NavyDoc, you did a great job of softening things up just the right amount, without sacrificing sharpness or make her look unnatural.

One of my cycling buddies was a Navy doctor before working as a general surgeon here in Ventura. Ever run into Jim Holden? It's a small world, you never know.

So, you can either post the next image or defer to Dawicka2, your choice.

^^Thanks. In the Navy, it's traditional to call Hospital Corpsmen and Dental Technicians by the nickname "doc". Since that nickname is usually already used by another on forums, I began using "navydoc". I was a dental technician, and since my time in the service (1963-'67) these two ratings have been merged into just the hospital corpsman rating.

Since I've won in the past, I will gladly defer to Dawicka2 for the next round.

The only problem is I may never post a shot after seeing all the great work around here..

As my friend the surgeon says, the best way to learn is to watch one, do one, then teach one. It's not like anybody's gonna die if you make a photo editing mistake.

I sent a pm to Dawicka2. If he doesn't reply by tomorrow am (my time) or declines to be next to put up an image for editing, I'll go ahead and put one up.

I haven't gotten a reply from Dawika2 yet and he hasn't posted an image to edit so I guess I'll put one up. This is an abandoned house I found in eastern Arizona last year. I think there are lots of possibilities with how this one is edited.

Here's one way to edit the image.

Thought I'd try to make this feel hot and dusty. Perspective correction, color adjustments, cropping, general and local exposure and contrast adjustments in Lightroom. Then added a lens flare in PhotoShop.

Inside house made lighter for a loo true.
Also on the wooden window frames.

^^^ Three very nice edits! Interesting to see the different approaches. Will be tough to pick a winner, Gene.
