Here's a second entry, so not in the contest. I wanted to try Photoshop's HDR toning.

Replacing my Canon 7D, Tokina 12-24mm, Canon 17-55mm, Sigma 30mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.4, and 150-500mm with a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000. I still have the 17-55 and the 30 available for sale.

Thought I'd play. I took a dark B&W approach

QUOTED IMAGE

Reminds me of Skyfall. As soon as I seen the helicopter I said to my wife - I guess they won't be selling that place.

No one is making this very easy for me to judge you know. :D

BTW, for those of you that are leaning towards the dark side on your edit, you might be interested in seeing what was on one of the fence posts.

I agree Gene, some really nice edits! That skull definitely adds to the dark factor.

I haven't posted here in forever, but this seemed like something I could make an attempt at:

NavyDoc, do you know the story behind the house? It seems like an unusual style of architecture for a ranch house. It's easy to imagine someone moving west and trying to mollify their wife by building her a "real" house.

My buddy that took me to see this place said that he had heard it was once a schoolhouse although there was no evidence inside to show that was the case. I think someone may have converted it to a home if that was true. Some of the woodwork on the interior looked newer and the fireplace was sectioned off in an odd way for some unknown reason. Maybe I'll add a couple of other images at the end of this comp.

Oh, if you look closely at the bottom right of the image I put up for editing, you'll see a femur bone. :D Most of the rest of the skeleton was near there too.
