Here's my try. I did most of the processing in ACR. Brought into CS6 for a little cloning, healing, d&b, and a finish with a OnOne filter. Resized and cropped to 5x7.

I don't see any humor in such a puerile stunt.

How does it benefit anyone to post photos to this thread or forum and run the risk of having them defaced in some juvenile attempt at humor? They might as well skip here and go directly to the 4chan site.

There's a saying about opinions.

I see the humor in it, personally.

While there may be some humor in it, it goes against what the OP posted IMO, although he seemed to like it.

And don't go overboard with the editing. So no adding in sharks jumping out of the water for extra coolness. The idea is to finish the photo, not to edit it so much that it's unrecognizable.

Mainly played around with dodging/burning. Also got rid of the highlights in the background. Could have removed skin speckles, but didn't feel like it.

It puts a smile on many faces and reminds people not to take themselves too seriously. I know it was juvenile. There's no point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes.

It wouldn't have been near as funny at 4chan. There you're expecting it. And it's actually pretty lousy work for such a place. Here it catches you off guard right at the optimum LDP (Laugh Delivery Point). If it really bugs you, then you might want to scroll past it. Everyone else seems to have a pretty light sense of humor about it including the OP.

Whatever the case, I really hope you find something today to make you laugh, even if it isn't this. Seems like you could really use it.

Well, yes, it doesn't really meet the "finishing" idea, but it was posted as a bit of fun, that's all. And the nature of the edit was extremely obvious, not like an incident a while back where somebody's photo was altered to try to make the young woman in it appear thinner. If that was the case here, then I would agree that the edit was inappropriate, but it isn't the case. So yes, this is meant to be a thread to give us practice and some exercise, but let's not get so caught up in it that we can't also have a bit of fun while we're at it.
