These were all great edits - I especially enjoyed rrblint's haha!

Gonna have to give it to Kirk though, that looks so good! I'll have to show the guy in the picture that one, he'll love it!

There is not a whole lot to the image, per se. I did a very neutral raw conversion and then built it up from there. The image itself, with the strobist look balanced against the sunset and the off-center composition, sort of led me to the final idea. There was some dodging and burning to get the subject to become balanced, tonally, against the sunset. I created a LUT to shift the blue to purple in the wetsuit and surfboard and then brushed that into the original to create the fade. I gave the image a film look and then used some magazine fold google image files to comp the centerfold onto the image - I also googled "staples" for the staples. Oh, I also added a lens flare to even out the blown out sun and dodge the subject.
