Wow, what a group of fantastic edits! How do I choose just one?

While I love the "added animals" edits and appreciate the time and effort involved, I'm a sucker for the old Tin-type look. I'm not sure why but I've always loved that look. I used to sit in my high school library and pour through volume after volume of books on early photographs.

So, I choose navydoc's edit as the winner. Over to you Gene, and congratulations.

Thanks. I feel very flattered...and surprised. For the past couple of years now, I've been shooting with a Sony a7r so that is where this next challenge comes from. Most editors can now handle these Sony raw files but if not, it can always be converted to .dng. I think one of the most helpful feature of this file is its size. It can be cropped in many ways and still retain good quality.

Please let me know if anyone is unable to edit this file and good luck.

Here's the file on a webpage I just whipped up for it.

Couldn't resist a "Bates Motel-esque" kind of look.

Couldn't resist the Mystery Science Theater 3000 look to this. :)

The shadow in the middle of the original photo sort of reminded me of Tom Servo...

Nice edits so far. I thought my shadow looked just a little like an alien and the motel reminded me of the snack bar at a drive in movie. :-)

We do actually. Sorry for the delay but I got sidetracked by life. I wish there had been more edits submitted but I think that goes to the poor image I chose to use. Of the 3 edits posted, I like all of them but I give a slight edge to CameraMan for adding a bit of whimsy to his edit.

So, congrats to CameraMan and show us your image to be edited next...

Thanks for selecting mine. It was fun and I had a couple giggles while I was editing that one. :)

Here's one of my favs from when I was experimenting with Welding Glass as an ND filter.

And here's an unedited version of it. Kinda spooky looking for Downtown Atlanta, GA.

Sorry about that. I wish you had said something, I would have provided a .dng version as well. Next time I'll know better and provide both kinds of files...or at least a .dng so that everyone will be able to edit.

If anyone is interested, I used the free webpage builder "Mobirise" to create the download page for my raw image.
