Perfect example of where I get my intell. from.

It is judging day? Right? I'm praying I get horrendously ill in the next couple of hours, and then I'll be able to skip the field trip with a bunch of seven-year-olds that I agreed to chaperone, but I suspect that isn't going to happen. So, I better get on with this now as later on today I'll be curled up in the fetal position in a corner somewhere.

There are lots are really wonderful edits here, folks. You did so many great things with it. There was one edit that really stood out for me this time, which was a nice change from agonizing over edits and a winner for an hour. The edit in question is really close to my personal vision of the photograph . . . but in colour!

Perspective correction, CA reduction, tone and color adjustments. I thought it needed to be kept dark.

Congratulations Gene (navydoc)! You're this week's winner. I love that you kept it dark. I honestly didn't think I'd pick a colour version of this image, but the beautiful yellow glow from the first floor windows and the stained glass at the entrance adds some really unexpected (and I think very welcome) coziness to this old, gothic styled, sandstone structure.

Thanks very much Shelley, much appreciated. I always struggle to find an image of mine that I think is interesting enough to offer up to edit creatively. Let's see how everyone envisions this one.

Thanks very much. For the heck of it, I thought I'd post the edit I did on the raw image above. I'm looking forward to seeing other edits of this rather bland shot.

I may pay with this a bit more.
