I use LumoPro LP160's with Cactus triggers. I was getting ready to upgrade to the new LP180's but I've actually hit the brakes on that and am now seriously considering Cheetah CL-160's. I'm very interested in the extra power, remote power control, and hypersync options.

Although neither the LumoPro's nor the Cheetah's support E-TTL.

You don't need ettl in off camera lighting. You will have more consistant results without it.

The YN 560III with remote power control via the new transmitter they are preparing is a great solution for applications where manual power control works.

The YN568 etc ETTL capable speedlites, along with others, mounted on YN-622s with the new transmitter for control is a great solution for applications where ETTL power control works. (And offers the additional advantage of remote manual control as well.)

Two different kit for two different shooting situations. The advantage the ETTL option offers is that it can also do the manual option.

I have 4 600EX-RTs and STE-3. They are great kit for ETTL. Even with them in hand, I would consider the YN-560III with new trigger for table top and other situations where I want to use manual speedlites. They are inexpensive and reliable.
