70D for Sports under the lights

I shoot a lot of football under the lights and volleyball. Would you suggest a 70D or a 7D. I have a 40D right now. I like it, but I dropped it and subsequently am having a few issues with it. I shoot with a Canon 70-200, with a 1.4 extender when possible.

I don't think it really matters. Maybe the 70D has an ISO advantage, which you perhaps can benefit from, in your lighting conditions.
The lack of the single AF point with expansion would turn me away from the 70D. That's the most useful AF point selection mode for me, when it comes to action.
