Hmm .. the new Z line of HP laptops look rather delicious for PS and CAd use

The 14" is a tad heavier than other ultrabooks but the spec looks perfect.

The Thinkpad 440s looks excellent but has been "coming soon" since July.

The HP still looks a better Photoshop/Premier platform - though not seen the specs of Dells recent Haswell workstation offerings

My Lenovo rep indicated the T440 series should be shipping next month.

The last 4 notebooks I've purchased have been ASUS's G7x (G73, G74, etc) line of computers. Designed primarily for gamers, they have everything that I need for heavy work. i7 processor, 16GB RAM, 2 drive spaces (One for SSD, one for HDD storage), decent graphics card...

I can even run dual external monitors back at work. (I have ran more using USB3 option, but have no need for it really).

Been using them for years now. Looks like the other mainstreamers might just be catching on?

I've found if you need power, find out what gamers are using... they seem to have it down pat. :)
