The monsoon has not been very kind to me birding wise. These are some of the very few I could make with the 550D.

Nice shots, very sharp with the cobweb in the 1st photo! Are these a North Indian species? I didn't see them when I was in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka last month (of course I could have easily missed them). What lens were they taken with?

I really like these images. The rusty barbed wire perch seems to add to the appeal.

Thank you SJC. Thanks Scrumhalf, they are spreaded all over India I believe. The lens is a 400/5.6.

Very good shots. I'd never have guessed that these were Starlings! Totally different looking to the Starlings I see in the UK.

Thank Flo and 2slo, there are other species noisier them where I usually go. Quite a few starlings species here actually, locally called mynahs.
BTW, I was expecting you both to comment. If I remember correctly you guys love starlings.

No need to apologise, these are lovely shots, be proud!

The first one made be chuckle a bit, the bird looks rather startled with the hair up on spikes! :)
