Raw to Jpeg in LR4

Just recently I have issues converting files from raw to jpeg in Lightroom 4

When I convert the files shrink in size a lot. Even when uploading to Flickr the largest size available is medium

Any ideas??

Do you mean digital volume, megabytes? Jpgs are compressed files, they are supposed to be smaller. What compression level are you setting?
Or do you mean pixel dimensions? Are you cropping and/or resizing?

One thing you can do so that we can "help" is to post a screen shot of your Export dialog. Scroll down (or "stretch" the dialog) so that we can see the "File Settings" and "Image Sizing" panels.

When you convert in LR (via export file) you have the option of setting the JPEGs dimensions in Pixels as well as the quality (compression).
