2013 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series @ Laguna Seca

I attended the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series race at Laguna Seca this past weekend.I had a nice time.This is one of the last Grand-Am races because the Grand-Am series will be merging with the American Le Mans Series next year to form the United SportsCar Racing Series.Here is some photos from the event.All photos were taken with a Canon 7d with Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 Sports series + Canon 1.4x III teleconverter or a Canon 5d mark III with EF 70-200mm f2.8 II.C&C is always welcome.Thanks for looking.

Yeah,I guess that the Grand-Am series is not as popular as the other events.The ALMS race was much more crowded,and the motogp race was packed.I was surprised to see the infield was empty,with no vendors.

But as you said,the small crowds made photographing a lot easier not having to jockey for a shooting position.

Nice shots. I will be attending the series finally at Limerock Park, CT in a couple weeks. I'm going to be sad to see it go as it's own series. It has some of the best racing out there.

Thanks GregoryC.Hopefully the new United Sports Car Series will combine the best of both series.
