Same here. I check daily.... seems to be offline this morning. I'm hoping its because they are updating their inventory. Will check back during lunch.

Still not showing. It would make sense if they're restocking to take the page down so they don't get orders lost during the switch. Hopefully the 100L macro gets restocked. Missed my chance to grab one.

Another tip: if you manually refresh, it's a lot faster than canon price watch. I was flipping back and forth between editing and refreshing and managed to snag a pair of cameras last week (5d3). About ten minutes later I got an email from CPW telling me that they were in stock. I went back, and, woops, they were out of stock.

tl;dr: pay your taxes

No discounts showing any more, though. I had a lens and flash in my shopping cart earlier and both had a discount. Now only the lens does. Things are still a bit in flux there.

Anyone knows when will this $100 off end?

Next Wednesday - September 25, 2013

Since this sale is inventory specific (no rain checks or back orders), I wouldn't wait once you see what you want is in stock and available.

Wish there was 20% off sale. Would love to get 300mm f2.8 IS II.:)

I was thinking the exact same thing. With CA tax, the 300 f2.8 IS II is coming out to be $6241. Not sure that $550 savings over a new one is worth it at this kind of price range. That said, it's still $550 and this lens isn't available used very often.

Agree. Also, why are people overlooking the fact that this deal basically saves them from paying most of the tax anyway

Example. 50L=$1299.95 . Due to the $100 off promotion, any tax you'd have to pay is basically covered by this discount.

It depends on the item. I bought the refurb'd EF 2x III for $349 and it was $380 delivered after tax. Used ones on the MarketPlace go fo about $425+ PP fees and shipping so a net of about $440 - $450 and new ones are $499 so at $380 even with tax it was a good deal so I bought it.

Bottom line is it depends on the items price plus the tax you have to pay compared with the going rate new and used. Then you decide what's a better deal. In my experience unless you get an additional percentage off along with the refurb price + rebate it's rarely a very good deal, if at all, after you factor in tax. At least not in California with our nearly 10% sales tax....

The EF 17-40mm ƒ/4L USM Refurbished at $571 + $51 CA tax = $622 shipped. That's a really good deal and I'm seriously considering it. If you find something that's just over $500 the $100 discount is huge, even with CA tax. But if you get much over about $700 in price that percentage starts to produce rapidly diminishing returns in value...

Update: Screw it... I just bought the 17-40mm ƒ/4L... if I'm not around for a few days it's because I'm hiding out from my wife...

True. Some lenses, the like the EF-S 18-200, are still overpriced as refurbs. Adorama was selling refurbs of that lens for $279 last week. Even Adoroma's normal refurb price is well below Canon's. But other lenses are more reasonable and the closer to $500, the better the deal.
