additional camera opinions please

I am currently shooting with my 1d markIII, but would like to add a second body.
I shoot a little of everything from people to wildlife. I use my mark III for wildlife and sports. Would like to get some opinions on what to get for a 2nd body. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

budget? requirements?

A 5DII would be a great compliment to the 1DIII. It gives you something different than you already have. Especially for the people work.

7D. A bit lighter and compliments the mark iii nicely in terms of features and technical ability. Noise might be the only concern at higher ISO, but a more than capable buddy for the mkiii for sports and wildlife.

A 1ds miii would seem like the logical choice given you already own the 1d miii.

I'd think a FF camera would be the best complement to a 1DIII. Use your current camera for action shooting. Use the FF for portraits, landscape, architecture, in particular.

I would say 1Ds MkIII, too... Except that for less money 5D Mark II offers much higher ISO (25600 vs 3200), and a key reason to consider FF is high ISO shooting capabilities. The "s" has better AF focus (same as your 1DIII), metering system... and of course, build quality.

Alternative would be 5D Mark III for it's much improved AF system, plus even higher ISO capabilities. 6D wouldn't be a bad choice, either.
