Battery grip or 50mm 1.4?

O.K, Ive currently got the 24-105 and 17-40 on my 5D3 and have a spare $400. Should I get a battery grip or the 50mm?

50. A grip is a (sort of) convenience. A 50 f/1.4 is 3 stops more light (and/or shallower DoF) than your current lenses offer.

50 1.4 - your lenses are both f4 the 50mm will give you a fast lens in your bag. I find a grip is never a priority over glass.

Good choice, love my 50 1.4 lens.
