Card1 cannot be accessed

I have a memory card that was working fine right until im about to upload all the images from a shoot!

it reads for a second but then the display on my camera doesnt even work. My memory card reader recognizes it but then wont open either

anyone know of a way to get the files off it before i have to re shoot it?

Start here. At least you have a card reader. That's important, and often people have a card problem and no separate reader. You could also try changing the USB (I assume) cable you're using to connect the card reader and camera to the computer.

a lot of these recovery tools are for cards that have been deleted, problem is that my reader is not even recognizing there is a memory card installed.

I'd try to upload from the camera using the cable supplied , you then know if its a card or reader issue.

its the card not the reader, i have tried three card readers and its not recognizing it at all.

Also when i put the card into the camera it flashes red once and then displays the card1 cannot be accessed

so weird, the memory card is now working again

It is probably time to replace that card before it really fails

Get the pictures off it, then get rid of it (I am trying to get a big Fresnel lens, to melt mine with)
