I am looking for some book recommendations on portrait photography. I am particularly looking for books describing lighting techniques and posing. Currently I do not have any lighting equipment but I am looking at purchasing some.

I have searched through the forum and the only book I found being recommended was "The Portrait Photographer's Guide to Posing" by Bill Hurter, what are people’s views on this book.

This one (external link) is great. Covers principles not just "do this". Every amhurst media book i've read is great.

Professional wedding photographer, solution architect and general technical guy with multiple Amazon Web Services certifications.
