Practising with my softbox

Still struggling to get shots with my softbox to not have too harsh a 'flash' on them.

I took quite a lot, here's my three favourite ones. Opinions on composition, processing and general technique welcome. I've learnt a lot from people on here.

Same here. Looks great. Not a fan of all the headroom in #1 though. It could be a horizontal crop.

Thanks for comments.

I was pleased with them but I've fallen into that trap before!

I think a reflector would be a good idea, he was quite loopy when I put him in the cot and was running all over the place so chasing him around with a reflector might have been tricky!

Could I have used a second speedlight over to the left on a relatively low power to 'balance' it?
