Sorry for the long post. I attended a seminar conducted by a well known/highly respected photographer the other night. In addition to 'pushing' Nissin flashes, he also recommended Hoodman CF and SD memory cards, and gave the merits (lifetime warranty/etc). I contacted my two (2) favorite camera shops (NYC & Allentown, PA), and neither one sell Hoodman cards. They do sell their loupes. Both suggested Lexar or Sandisk. The Hoodman is $100; the other two $80 for the CF cards. I have 'lost' some pics on Lexar/Sandisk. That is why I am considering Hoodman. I can buy Hoodman from their site. Any opinions/comments, (other than cost), on the Hoodman cards would be appreciated. thank you. Nick.

IIRC, The Hoodman is a normal known brand with a metal plate added on. They don't have different inside components. Someone will certainly clarify or correct me on this. All of those products represented at training classes/seminars are based on product endorsement deals. Wait a few years and see if that photographer is still using that brand or another!

Canon fan. You are probably correct. In a few years, something new or better will be out, such as n*k*n's XQD. thanks. nick
