Please forgive me (I think half my posts start like that) if it's the wrong area or already covered

I'd really love to see a better way of cataloging/tagging items (besides search)......

ONWARD!

I'm half asleep and will be compiling a "master thread" so that any n00b could understand and any expert could correct so it's always accurate

Hey Rick - I did similar thing in 2010, made an open "bucket list" of objects to image w/o a telescope based on peoples input.
Had the discussion here, and posted results in the photo sharing section.
My signature has that link, "My top 10 in Astrophotography".

Will help you definitely organize your thoughts, it's one thing to read, but when your make a post that forces you to compose your thoughts and both share and learn.

There already is a beginner's guide that forum mod Jon started and it's also a "sticky" at the top of this forum's thread list. It hasn't been updated for quite some time (2011) so possibly adding to that thread would be better served since it already exists? Or, post all your tutorials in this thread and then post a link in Jon's "Astro Technique How-To's" thread so your tutorials are easier to locate without having to perform a search.
