any one know whats the best wireless controller to use with a 7d,i hear the vello's shutter boss rcw-c2 is a good one,and you can use it wired or not,the shutter release is a two faze one so you can auto focus and shoot from about 25' away ! not all controllers do this,i though i would get some feed back, before i spend $100.00 on one! i know its a bit less money then the canon wireless remote, any one have thought's on this, what do you use and why! thanks.

Well, I have two of the Vello (actually one's the identical-but-in-name Pearstone). It works as advertised, and I picked up a Nikon 10-pin cable to use it with the D300s at Garber, so it's versatile as well.

If I am doing any kind of photography where I am staying near the camera/tripod, I use the TC-80N3. I only use the Shutterboss when I need to be further away. The Shutterboss does not seem to work with the high speed drive mode on the 5D Mk III. It has a setting that will take one frame per second, but if I have the high speed drive mode set on the camera, it will only fire a couple of frames. I mentioned this is another thread, and as someone agreed with me and no one pointed out some mistake I had made, I assume this is just the way it works. If anyone has a solution, I will recant my complaint and sing the praises of the Shutterboss.

I agree. I purchased mine over the summer for my 7D and it worked wonders during 4th of July fireworks...
