Like many events this summer we had a lot of heavy cloud cover but by the time these guys performed the sun was finally starting to brighten things up.

Sep 15, 2013 08:50 | #3 Thanks Frank. Looks like they'll be performing today under an overcast sky with a slight chance of rain right around the time they do their thing. A skill is developed through constant practice with a passion to improve, not bought.

The clouds starting to clear, it was almost like mother nature knew they were about to perform. EOS 1D Mark III, 24-70/2.8L, 70-200/4L IS, 100-400/4.5-5.6L IS, 430EX II, 055XPROB w/ 488RC2

Sep 19, 2013 20:12 | #6 Randy, no prop blur! What's up with that? I was about 10 meters or so from the very edge to the west so I could shoot the take offs rather than the landings. It was just about the same place as last year & I recognized a few of the same people from last year too. I got the crossover too but it was so far to my right & through a lot of smoke so it's not a great shot. I've finished editing my jpg's but later on I'll rework some of the RAW stuff & make some large prints for the local Legion. Last year I made up some in time for Remembrance Day & I intend to do it again this year. A skill is developed through constant practice with a passion to improve, not bought.
