In my Canon bag I carry a small digital Leica and an A2 film body.

Like you, photography is my hobby. Missing a shot is not critical. Having a camera fail on you in the beginning of a once in a lifetime vacation is. I used to carry a small P&S with me (still do, S110), but now it is not that important any more since my wife got into photography too and got her own camera.

Judt one body. Don't shoot for money so I do not need it. Do want to get a good P&S when I have the spare cash.
