First photo workshop, first model shoot. I think I missed the focus a bit due to nerves. The instructor was informative, and likes to shoot with natural light. This was shot at high noon, with no fill flash or reflector. Any comments/critiques are much appreciated since it would help me take better shots in the future.

She looks pretty good for no fill, but I might have tried some from a higher angle with a WA lens to try to thin out her legs a little.

NIce shot. While the eye is drawn to the model, I'm bothered a little by the cut-off headlight and the open door. A squarer framing would have given her more headroom.

The framing of the car and model is really not acceptable for an instructor led shoot (I will let you off the hook Pyrospawn :) ).....you need to include much more of the car...bottom and front at least. I am surprised that he/she would only allow natural light for noon shots.

Thank you for the suggestion, she was fairly skinny, guess my lens/composition made her legs bigger than they were. Will have to try a wider lens next time.

Tried to crop to 16x9 for a wallpaper, but will try a different crop to see if it's better

Agree. I need better framing to include more of the cars. Had only 2 minutes to shoot, so have to do quick and miss the composition/framing.

It shows up now, looks pretty good to me. I thought it was another case of the pic being deleted after 1 or 2 comments. : )

Women need to basically have no fat whatsoever on them and be built extremely thin/tight/fit to get away with the low angle or even straight on type shots. Why do you think runway and high fashion models are underweight? It's not so the clothes will fit (they could be made bigger).

In other words, if you want to play with lower angles, find a girl you could wrap you arms around twice or prepare to liquify.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)
