Hi everybody,
I have had my T4i now for several months. I bought it with the 18-55mm lens. I am now looking to start mu lens collection. I was wondering what you all thought to be the three most important lens to have. I enjoy shooting nature, portraits, and nudes/bikini shots. Also keep in mind i am an extreme armature, I really doubt I'd be spending more than $600 per lens. Thanks!

And you can get that for $600?

I think you missed the part about spending no more that $600 a lens.

I'm a sigma fan. I peronally would need a 4 lens list because I can't live without my Canon 50 f/1.8 (metal mount). If I had to pick, I'd replace the 10-20 with the 50mm.

10-20
17-50 f/2.8
70-200 f/2.8

Buy your glass used.

Sigma 30 1.4 DC HSM, $275, nudes/bikini
Canon 18-135 STM, $350, nature/walk-around/video
Sigma 85 1.4 or Canon 135L, $750, portrait/outdoor

The STM lens will allow you to sell your 18-55 and give you a nice upgrade as well. It will also take advantage of your T4i's video AF. Maybe even add a flash and cheap flash stand.

I'd go with this, althought maybe the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 nonVC, rather than Sigma.

As an beginner, focus on shooting a lot with the kit lens.

That is a really good suggestion.
I am not so sure about the Sigma, az I never used it, but the two Canon lenses suggested are both great, and good value for the money

The extremely budget - constrained newcomer to DSLR photography should start with a Tamron 18-200mm lens. (external link) It's an effective unit that sells for less than US $200 with current rebate, Until online experts start purchasing equipment for you and you must use your own money, that inexpensive lens is a good choice.

For $1800
-sell your 18-55 and pick up either a Tamron/Sigma 17-50f2.8
Or
-sell your 18-55 and pick up a 15-85

And pick up a 55-250 plus flash or 70-200f4 non-IS

And either a 50f1.4 or 85f1.8
