swivel/touch screen is really nice...nicer than I thought it'd be.
I just added a 70D to compliment a 6D. There is still a place for crops bodies.

I struggled with this coming from a 40D. When the 6D came out I rented one for 5 days. I loved it except for autofocus, which wasn't much improved over my 40D I wanted to replace. I struggled with spending (at that time) $2k without that key feature being improved for action (do a lot of dog sports photography).

I ended up buying a 70D and am not regretting it. But frankly, your list doesn't include demanding autofocus requirements, and the 6D's autofocus was about as good as a 40Ds plus it was superior in low light using that wonderful center point focus. But if you are thinking about video, this new focus system on the 70D is amazing -- I hadn't done much video (heck, I had a 40D, so it was using other folks cameras!) but am planning to really use it for at least training purposes for the dogs, and the touch screen and autofocus on this little gem is amazing.

One other consideration is your lenses - -you didn't reveal your present kit -- I also wanted to avoid a lens swap out with the 6D and do enjoy the crop factor with the 70-300L I do own.
