Buono Estente,

Unfortunately there was only one stage near Madrid this year, and it was the final run through the streets, but I still wanted to go and support the race and the riders. Took my girlfriend and she really enjoyed watching the breakaway, counting their advantage for ourselves as it grew and then inevitably (but disappointingly as someone who still gets excited by breakaways) shrank ... I also took the camera but we adopted a shaded position a little way from the finish (closer was either closed access or in direct sun for two hours and we weren't there to suffer with the riders) so I didn't get much.

If nothing else, perhaps my post has become more to others tastes ...

A few attempts at anticipatory atmosphere ...

Before the (initially one and later) two-man breakaway makes a move with about 35km to go ...

They were inevitably caught by this lot though ...

The final sprint wasn't quite kicking off as it passed me, unfortunately ... anyway, an enjoyable time spectating it.

Boutros, Boutros Ghali,

Owain.

All of them or some more than others? Just wondering (not doubting what you say) because some are darker than others, but equally then some should still appear lighter on the iPad (or any other display) so if they're all showing dark ...

I did drop the mid-tones in Levels, but no more than about 10% and obviously not so they looked dark (to me) on my screen, maybe my eyes are too used to theatre where you get total darkness and the occasional spot of something and are content with this!

The lowered mids could be the cause because the darks are very dark and the whites and bright colors look ok

The first one does seem particularly dark in the background looking at it now, and #7 would be the next darkest, followed by #5 but the others still look alright to me, on my screen ... definitely think I could just be used to picking out brighter spots from blacked out theatres!
