I bought some cheap yongnuo flash triggers and they worked like a charm the first 4 times I used them but now I can not get them to work. I need them to be dependable. Am I just asking for what I am getting by buying the cheaper equipment?

I cannot afford the more expensive units now but I need to have the ability to use triggers with my flashes. Any suggestions to make my yongnuo's work or what to buy?

Which ones did you get? Battery failure is an issue, and if you have the style that are transceivers have you tried reversing the units?

Not sure which you got, but I have the cheap YN triggers as well (I think $25-$30 a pair) and I have been using them for a little over a year now with no issues.

Did you try fresh batteries?

I believe those are what I have as well (I have 4 of them). Try some new batteries maybe.

I have brand new Eneloop's fully charged. I also tried some disposable batteries which were Energizers. I put brand new store bought battery in transmitter. I just wonder if I have a bad copy. Being undependable is a nightmare. They really made a butt out of me this past Saturday. I ended up putting my flash on the camera and doing the best I could.

Might just be a bad set. I tend to use 3 of my 4, and have 2 more on their way just to make sure I always have backups.

At this point it sounds like you either take another shot with a new pair or go with more expensive units.
